Projects nearing completion

Morning all

Today I'm hoping to put the finishing touches to a website redesign I've been working on since the beginning of the year for a lovely sounding holiday home on the Isle of Wight. User-testing has all been positive with no unpleasant surprises raised, so provided the client likes it I hope to be able to press the "launch" button very soon.

Next week I'm also aiming to complete on an Oxfordshire payroll company's site, and then it's on to the next sites. Nothing quite like wrapping up projects you've been so engrossed in for months!

More once the sites are live

Networking event

Today I ventured into deepest Buckinghamshire (aren't I brave) to attend a networking event given by New Tricks Training (http://www.newtricks.co.uk/). People networking, not cable networking, you'll be glad to hear. The thought of me doing cable networking frightens me to the core.

The course was excellent and the trainers, Tim and Ken, were both informative, encouraging and entertaining. A lot of their tips were mainly common sense but it's still nice to have the things you'd already thought affirmed. Also quite a few potentially useful contacts met - useful for a networking event!

The thought of cable networking is still bugging me, and reminds me of an amusing quote I saw on Facebook: "I've deleted the file? I've deleted all the files? I've deleted the whole internet? But I don't even have a modem!"
